The Shepherdess and the Chimney Sweep
Opis spektaklu
The play ”The Shepherdess and the Chimney Sweep” is based on a fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen. It’s almost a crime story from a cupboard – where stands a collection of porcelain figurines. However, the sly Chinese wants one of them, the gentle Shephardess, to marry the lord of the cupboard – The Field-marshal-major-general-corporal-sergeant. Old chinese tureen and the porcelain Chimney Sweep stand in her defense. It is the Chimney Sweep who takes the Shepherdess on a journey through the cupboard, where they visit The Lowest Drawer Kingdom and The Land of Playing Cards! During these adventures, the two of them start to feel real – not porcelain – affection… And – often in Andersen’s stories – true love triumphs
